We have to ensure that AI does not endanger traditions: Shekhawat


Union Culture and Tourism Minister spoke at Culture Summit 2025

Abu Dhabi, 28 April : Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that Artificial Intelligence is the future, but we have to ensure that it does not endanger cultures, diverse traditions or creative communities.



In a session titled 'Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Culture and Human Creativity' at the ministerial level dialogue at Culture Summit 2025 Mondiacult, Shekhawat explained how India is emerging as a global leader in building AI that is transparent, inclusive, ethical, responsible and rooted in our rich civilizational heritage.

Shekhawat also held discussions with UAE Culture Minister Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Spain Culture Minister Ernest Urtasun and Assistant Director General of Culture at UNESCO Ernesto Renato Ottone Ramirez.

Visit to Louvre Art Museum

Shekhawat visited Louvre Art Museum Abu Dhabi. He said that there is a wonderful amalgamation of art, architecture and storytelling, which connects cultures. Shekhawat said that this wonderful museum offers a unique journey through human creativity. It is also wonderful to share that the people who have designed the Louvre are also designing India's timeless museum in Delhi, which is going to be one of the largest cultural destinations in the world.
