Bihar Becomes a New 'Model' of Development Under Nitish's Leadership

Bihar, which was once counted among the backward states, is now moving ahead on the path of progress. The result of the continuity and activeness with which Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been working for the last 19 years under the resolution to transform Bihar is evident. Along with the development of basic facilities like roads, electricity, and water across Bihar, unprecedented changes have been seen in the direction of women empowerment, employment, and the skill development of youth.

Nitish Kumar's biggest strength as a public leader is that he does not make decisions from the Chief Minister's residence and office, but communicates directly with the public before making any decision. This approach, and the efforts made in line with it, not only set him apart from other leaders in current Indian politics but also demonstrate his seriousness towards the welfare of the people of Bihar.

The decisions taken in the recent cabinet meeting further prove that he is committed to implementing only those schemes on the ground that will benefit the people of Bihar. Out of the 146 proposals approved during the cabinet meeting, 121 were those that he had announced during his interactions with the public during the Pragati Yatra. Whether related to infrastructure development, women empowerment, or increasing employment and self-employment opportunities, all these proposals give priority to the development of every part of the state and highlight the unprecedented efforts of the Bihar government led by Nitish Kumar to empower every section of society.

This period is also special for Bihar’s development because there is an NDA government at the center, which includes Nitish Kumar's party, JDU. As a result, Bihar is benefiting from a double-engine government, similar to those states governed by the BJP. Bihar is the second-largest state in the country, after Uttar Pradesh, in terms of population. Therefore, promoting employment and self-employment here is crucial.

It is a good thing that under Nitish's leadership, no stone has been left unturned in this direction. Not only are vacant posts in government departments being filled, but many important steps are also being taken toward skill development, creating immense employment opportunities for youth in the private sector as well.

Since 2005, when Nitish Kumar came to power, more than 34 lakh people will have been employed by 2025. The special thing is that 10 lakh jobs were created in just one year. Nitish Kumar’s efforts are not only reducing the unemployment rate in the state but also curbing migration, which is undoubtedly presenting Bihar as a model state for others. In the future, youth from other states will look toward Bihar for jobs.

Nitish Kumar’s efforts to build a new Bihar do not end here. Renowned companies from across the country and the world are also being attracted to invest in the state. If investments increase, it will not only boost Bihar’s economy but also provide important employment opportunities for the state's youth.

The investment conference held recently in Patna is definitely a milestone in this direction, as investment agreements worth a record Rs. 1.80 lakh crore have been signed with 423 companies, contributing significantly to the development of the new Bihar. There are many other areas such as education, health, law and order, social justice, and women empowerment, which have not been neglected in this development journey. The Bihar government, led by Nitish Kumar, has equally emphasized progress and changes in every field.

Many questions have been raised about education in Bihar, but today the state's education system has undergone a complete transformation. Under the Bihar Education Project, emphasis has been placed on modern facilities to improve the quality of education in schools. Primary schools have been opened in every village to ensure that education reaches rural areas. Additionally, several measures have been taken to increase student attendance in schools, leading to significant improvements in Bihar’s education system.

Today, Bihar is among the leading states in the health sector, as Nitish Kumar has carried out many necessary reforms in this area. Under the Swasth Bihar Yojana, efforts have been made to improve hospital infrastructure and ensure medical facilities in every village. A system of mobile clinics is being run, which is proving to be a boon for the people of the state.

Similarly, no one can question the law and order situation in Bihar today, because the Nitish government has taken concrete steps in this direction. Under the Bihar Police Reform Scheme, not only has the police force been strengthened, but strict actions are also being taken to control crime. By increasing the number of police personnel, the reach of the police to the public is also being improved.

Overall, the steps taken by the Bihar government under the leadership of Nitish Kumar towards the development of all sections of society, especially women's rights and empowerment, serve as an inspiration for other states. The Ladli Yojana is playing an important role in empowering women, not only giving them equal status in society but also contributing to the state’s progress.

The all-round development Bihar is experiencing under Nitish Kumar’s leadership is not only significant for making Bihar a prosperous state but will also play an important role in the creation of a Viksit Bharat@2047.
