Rahul Gandhi's big attack on Election Commission: Commission is protecting BJP in vote theft

New Delhi, August 8: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi once again attacked the Election Commission on Friday. He alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has conspired to "steal votes" in the country and the Election Commission is helping it in this entire episode. Rahul Gandhi says that the Commission has asked him for an affidavit on the allegations of irregularities in the voter list, whereas he has already taken the oath of the Constitution.

Rahul said, "I have taken the oath of the Constitution in Parliament. Today, when the people of the country are asking questions about the election data and rigging in the voter list, the Election Commission has closed its website. They are afraid that if people come to know the truth, their entire structure will be destroyed."

He further said that the Constitution of India gives every citizen the right to vote impartially, but the election results in states like Maharashtra put this right in doubt. He claimed that the INDIA alliance won the Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra, while only four months later the BJP won the assembly elections, and during that time one crore new voters voted - which is a very shocking figure.

Rahul Gandhi asked direct questions to the Election Commission:

Why did the Commission destroy video evidence related to voting?

Was the voter list manipulated?

Is the Election Commission an impartial institution or an agent of the BJP?

Rahul Gandhi cited Dr. Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Patel, Phule and Narayan Guru and said that it is the duty of every citizen of the country to protect the Constitution that they laid the foundation for. He said that the Congress and the INDIA alliance are fighting to save the soul of this Constitution.

The Congress party has intensified the campaign on social media regarding Rahul Gandhi's statements and has demanded transparency from the Election Commission.
